For many creative businesses, the diversity of ideas and experiences among talent is crucial to the ideation process. Hosted by The ADVERTISING Club of New York and McCann Worldgroup, this workshop explores ways to ensure diversity is at the core of teams, helping senior marketing leaders and agencies deliver work that resonates with audiences across a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Workshop leaders will ignite and facilitate thought-provoking group discussions and activities that demonstrate ways to harness diversity throughout the creative process. Delegates will dissect and analyze creative work and leverage diversity of thought to create collaborative content, drawing on their own individual experiences. Participants will work in groups and be challenged with a problem statement around a current social issue.
Key topics covered:
- What elements made the Million-Hoodies March for Trayvon Martin campaign by McCann Worldgroup so successful? How did diversity drive this?
- What are simple, practical ways to successfully leverage diversity to transform an idea into more than a successful creative campaign, but also a grander cultural movement?
- Why should senior agency leaders and marketers be paying more attention to diversity and make it a priority within their organizations?
- What type of talent should your team bring on board to embrace and increase diversity?
