JR Badian is the VP of Digital Marketing and Social Media at MasterCard. JR oversees all US digital marketing and social strategy for campaigns. His work includes managing all digital execution, campaign landing pages, online display, SEO strategies, consumer homepage (s), as well as CRM for the Priceless Cities loyalty program. In addition, JR leads the social practice covering social media planning & buying, community management, and digital partnerships with platforms such as facebook, twitter and youtube, and leads the digital agency relationships with R/GA, MRM, and icrossing.
Prior to MasterCard JR was Director of Business Development for Vitrue, now known as Oracle Social. JR lead three client accounts including American Express, Colgate, and J&J in facebook platform strategy and platform publishing on twitter, as well as the development of custom social apps.
JR Badian is a founder and Director for Take 2 Marketing. JR co-founded this marketing agency and has had a strong influence on strategy, finance, and brand partnerships for the past eight years. He has also been responsible for developing marketing programs to brands such as Balance Bar, Bel Brands, Dove Soap, and Lance’s Crackers.
Prior to JR’s involvement in Take 2 Media, JR was the Director of Strategic Marketing for Loews Theatres. At Loews he worked to increase long term brand affinity and worked on many traditional and non traditional marketing programs that were covered as industry leading. JR also worked for Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation as a strategic planner where he helped drive new business opportunities and helped guide the strategic direction within the firm within emerging media.
JR Badian is an entrepreneur who received his MBA in 1 year from Babson College (Babson College currently ranks #1 for Entrepreneurship for all MBA programs, according to the 2013 US News and World Report rankings.) While attending Babson, JR won their nationally known & coveted Business Plan Competition and received $3 million in funding for his start-up, BrandAid marketing, and in-store marketing platform. In January 2002, BrandAid Marketing was acquired and subsequently publicly traded for three years.
In addition to his MBA, JR also earned a Masters from Columbia University in Organizational Behavior focusing on conflict resolution, negotiations, group dynamics, coaching and leadership. JR studied at Indiana University Kelly School of Business where he received his undergraduate degree with a double major in Finance and Marketing.
