The contest is for geniuses under 30 years old, from any walk of life. Contestants must simply upload an explanation of their idea (using google tools like Docs, YouTube, etc.) to the "Young Innovators Award" Google+ community.
The ideas with the most +1's will become finalists to be judged by our distinguished panel of marketing legends.

Eligibility: Entrants must be from The New York Metro Area and between 21 and 30 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Google as sponsor are excluded.
How to Enter: Beginning 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 17, 2013 and ending at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on *February 22, 2013 (“Contest Period”), you can enter the
Contest using Google+ tools (“Web site”) younginnovatorsawards.com by following the instructions to upload a 2-3 minute video, or document nominating yourself and telling us the Sponsors, Google and The ADVERTISING Club, why you think you should be the winner of the 2013 Young Innovator Award.

Entry Period for Eligibility
Submissions must be in English only. Sponsor’s reserve the right to allow for minor
Time fluctuations between the Submission length limitation stated herein and the actual
length of a Submission submitted in this Contest, as well as other minor deviations,
based on clear intent to comply with these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsors
in their sole discretion. Limit one (1) Submission per person/email address for
the entire Contest Period. Any attempt by any person to obtain more than the
stated number of entries by using multiple/different email accounts or any other methods will void all of that person’s entries and that person will be disqualified. Please note: You must have a Google account and agree to the Google+ Terms of Service, and the Google Terms of Use (insert link here) Submission Requirements/Restrictions. By submitting a Submission, each entrant (i) warrants that it is an original Submission created by the entrant and (ii) grants Sponsor and their designees the perpetual, unlimited, non-exclusive, transferable, worldwide and irrevocable right to modify, create derivative works of, edit, post, publish and/or otherwise use the Submission and all elements embodied therein, including any names and likenesses, in any manner and in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, without further compensation, notification or permission. To be eligible, a Submission must: (1) be entrant’s own original. (2) be a .wmv, .mov, .avi, or .mpg file(3) owned by entrant; (4) be non-confidential; (5) have been legally created; and (6) must only include self in video
Nomination Qualifications
(1) All nominees must be between 21 & 30 years of age at time of entry throughout 2013
(2) Advertising, Marketing, Media and Communications individuals throughout the New York metropolitan area will be able to nominate themselves (3) Nominations must include the merits, outline and/or visual of the work which warrants consideration for the award (4) Should be a creative and unique idea in the categories of advertising, technology, and media industries (5) The focus will be on accomplishment – not title (6) Can only submit once

Submissions that do not meet the submission criteria set forth above, contain prohibited content, and/or are otherwise deemed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate or obscene or not in keeping with Sponsor’s image will be disqualified and will not appear on the Web
Site for public voting.
Submission may not contain, as determined by the Sponsors, in their sole discretion, any
content that:
• is sexually explicit, obscene or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory
of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or
pornographic; or contains nudity;
• promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any
of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;
promotes any particular political agenda or message;
• appears to duplicate any other submitted Entries;
• defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people
or companies or Sponsors, their products or services;
• contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress (such as distinctive packaging or
building exteriors/interiors) owned by others, without permission to the extent
permission is necessary;
• can only contain personal identification as it relates to the individual such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses or other personal information;
• CAN NOT contain copyrighted materials owned by others (including music,
photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or
in websites, television, movies or other media), without permission to the extent permission is necessary; AD Club will be approving all submissions prior to making them live.
• contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, or other indicia
identifying any person, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public
or private figures, living or dead, without permission to the extent permission is
necessary;
• communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images
and/or good will with which Sponsors wishes to associate; and/or
• violates any law.
By making a Submission to this Contest, entrant acknowledges that, Sponsors do not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to Sponsors, or developed by its employees, or obtained from sources other than entrant. Sponsors have the right to review all Submissions before posting. By making a Submission, entrant hereby grants permission for the Submission to be posted on the Web site or other Sponsors websites Entrant agrees that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Submissions by third parties. Released Parties do not guarantee the posting of any Submission and may take down any Submission for any reason at any time. An entrant agrees that he/she will not use the Submission for any other purpose, including, without limitation, posting the Submission to any other online social networks, without the express consent of Sponsors in each instance during the contest period.
The Contest Period will be posted on the Google+ Community Page Web site where the public can vote for each Submission using the YT contest module functionality on the
Website. Please note that while someone can cast a vote. The top 20 crowd sourced video submissions will move onto the final round of judging. A Submission is not a winner until Sponsors declare a Submission the winner. In the event of a tie, each tying Submission will be judged by a panel of qualified judges using the Judging Criteria (as defined below), and the Submission with the highest overall score from among those tied, as determined by Sponsor, will be deemed the potential First Prize winner. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsors in its sole
discretion. Use of script, macro or any automated system to cast a vote or with the
intent to impair the integrity of the voting process is prohibited and all such votes
(both thumbs up and thumbs down votes) will be void. The odds of winning the
First Prize depend on the popularity of an entrant’s Submission compared to other
Submissions received during the Contest Period, as determined by the number of
thumbs up votes received for the first round of judging.
Sponsors reserves the right to not award all prizes for any prize level if, in their sole
discretion, they do not receive a sufficient number of eligible and/or qualified
Submissions for a prize level in a particular Entry Period or otherwise. All prize
awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of
these Official Rules. The decisions of the Sponsors and judges are final and binding
in all matters.
Winner Determination: First Prize Winner Determination:
The first round of judging will be crowd sourced, using the plus one gadget. On the close date, the top 20 submissions with the most votes will go onto the second round of judging. The second round will be comprised of a select group of jurors from the industry and will be based on the following judging criteria and percentages: (a) fit to the Contest theme (35%); (b) uniqueness (35%); and (c) passion in communication of the dream (30%) (“Judging Criteria”). The Submission with the highest score for each Entry Period, as determined by the judging panel based on the Judging criteria, will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, subject to compliance with these Official Rules. In addition, receiving the second and third prize will be the opportunity to have lunch with a senior level executive, The ADVERTISING Club will assign the appropriate person to each of the runners up. The odds of winning a First Prize depend on
the number of Submissions received in the given Entry Period.
First Prize Winner Notification:
Potential First Prize winners will be notified via email and required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and Publicity Release (where legal) within 48 hours of date of notification. Non-compliance with this requirement, or if prize/prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, if a potential winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period or if a potential winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors’ discretion, may be awarded to a runner-up, time permitting. Noncompliance with this requirement, or if prize/prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, if potential winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period
or if potential winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these
Prizes:
There is one First Prize in the amount of $5,000 and two runners up. The First is available to be won by eligible entrants as stated above. All entrants are responsible for his/her transportation to the reception. The nomination videos uploaded by the entrants can be used by the sponsors without written permission. Winners understand that Sponsors have the right to reproduce, distribute, perform, create derivative works of, edit, alter, display, exhibit, combine with other materials, exploit and otherwise use the video submissions and/or all elements embodied therein, in any manner and in any and all media now known or hereafter devised throughout the Universe for any purpose whatsoever, including, without limitation, for commercial purposes, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, winners or any third party – based on the license granted not based on ownership. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize.
General Rules:
Submissions, entries or votes generated by script, macro or other
automated means or by any means which subvert the entry or voting process will be
void. Sponsors, YouTube, and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated
companies, advertising, Contest or production agencies and all of their respective
officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees (collectively, “Released
Parties”) are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete,
garbled, mutilated or misdirected Submissions or entries or votes, or for Submissions
or entries or votes not received by the applicable deadline, or for electronic, network
or computer failures or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or
failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user’s
ability to participate in this Contest, or other hardware, software or technical errors
of any kind including any injury or damage to any person’s computer related to or
resulting from participating in the Contest or for other errors or difficulties of any
kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical,
printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including,
without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the
administration of the Contest, the processing of entries or Submissions, the judging
of Submissions, the tabulation of votes, the announcement of the prizes, or in any
Contest-related materials. Released Parties assume no responsibility for undeliverable
e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user’s
Internet service provider and/or insufficient space in user’s e-mail account to receive
e-mail. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify the Contest (or any portion
thereof) at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, if fraud,
misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Contest or if a computer
virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security.
If the Contest (or any portion thereof) is so cancelled, judging
for the Entry Period(s) at issue will be conducted from among all non-suspect,
eligible Submissions received for such Entry Period(s) prior to the time of
termination. In the event a dispute arises regarding a specific individual entitled to
receive a prize, the entry will be declared made by the “authorized e-mail account holder”
and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. Any damage made to the Website will also be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder
of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized e-mail account
holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an
Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business,
educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the
domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entrant may be requested to
provide Sponsor with proof that the entrant is the authorized e-mail account holder
of the e-mail address associated with the account/submission. Proof of submitting
Submissions/entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsors. Sponsors
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to prohibit the participation of an individual
(and void all associated Submissions and votes) if fraud or tampering is suspected, or
if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein
or with any provision in these Official Rules. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN
INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR
UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A
VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN
ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK
DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’/LEGAL
FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF
THE LAW. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and
local laws and regulations. By participating, in this Contest, entrants, hereby waive and release, and agree to hold harmless the Released Parties from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death, and/or property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize (or any travel or activity-related thereto), or their participation in this Contest, or any prize-related activity, or the rights granted herein. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding in all matters. Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize, each winner (agrees that Sponsors and their related and affiliated companies, including its retail partners, may use the winner’s name, address (city, state/province/territory), photograph, videotape, likeness, prize information and/or statements made by or attributed to winner relating to Sponsors, their related and affiliated companies or to this Contest for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known, in any manner, worldwide in perpetuity, without further notice, permission and/or compensation.
