The 2014 Young Innovators Award, supported by Google and The AD Club of New York, is looking for some great ideas, and to give one innovator accolades, an experience with a Google Executive and a cash prize of $5,000.
The contest is for geniuses under 30 years old, from any walk of life. Contestants must simply upload an explanation of their idea to the "Young Innovators Award" YouTube community.
The ideas most liked will become finalists to be judged by our distinguished panel of marketers, creatives and journalists.

Official Entry Details and Rules
1. Upload a 2-3 minute video. This video demonstrates an idea that has the potential to transform storytelling, shake up a business, re-imagine a Fortune 500 company or bring about real action in the name of a meaningful cause. The idea can come from anywhere – as long as it is new and fresh.
2. Email the link to your submission to email@example.com along with the best way to notify you.
3. Share your idea with your friends to gather the most engagement (measured by number of Thumbs Up on YouTube).
4. Ten finalists with the most engagement (Thumbs Up) are judged by our distinguished jury.
5. The winner gets $5000 and the recognition you deserve.
Eligibility: Entrants must work in and/or reside in the US and be between 21 and 30 years of age at the time of entry (hereinafter “You” or “Entrant”). Employees, officers and directors of Google as supporter are excluded.
How to Enter: Beginning 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on November 3, 2014 and ending at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on November 28, 2014 (“Contest Period”), you can enter the Contest application on The Young Innovators Award Brand Page on YouTube (“Web site”) by following the instructions to upload a 2-3 minute video nominating your idea and telling The ADVERTISING Club (“the Sponsors”), why You think You should be the winner of the 2014 Young Innovator Award (“Contest”).
Entry Period for Eligibility
Submissions must be in English only. Limit one (1) Submission per person/email address for the entire Contest Period. Any attempt by any person to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email accounts or any other methods will void all of that person’s entries and that person will be disqualified.

Each Entrant must upload a 2-3 minute video demonstrating your idea. By uploading a Submission, each Entrant (i) warrants that it is an original Submission created by the Entrant and (ii) grants Sponsors and their designees a perpetual, unlimited, non-exclusive, transferable, worldwide and irrevocable license to modify, create derivative works of, edit, post, publish and/or otherwise use the Submission and all elements embodied therein, including any names and likenesses, in any manner and in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, without any compensation, notification or permission. To be eligible, a Submission must: (1) be Entrant’s own original, (2) be a .wmv, .mov, .avi, or .mpg file (3) be owned by entrant; (4) be non-confidential; (5) have been legally created.
To be a nominee, the Entrant:
(1) Must be between 21 & 30 years of age at time of entry throughout 2014.
(2) Submissions must be longer than 3-minutes in length
(3) Must include the merits, outline and/or visual of the work (which the Entrant has rights to film, display, and use) which warrants consideration for the award in the Entrant’s video.
(4) Should describe a creative and unique idea in the categories of advertising, technology, and media industries.
(5) Should focus on the Entrant’s accomplishment(s) – not title.
(6) Must only submit once (per valid YouTube username).
(7) Must enter between 11/3/14 – 11/81/14.
(8) Must be available for the event in New York City on 12/15/14
Submissions that do not meet the criteria set forth above, contain prohibited content, and/or are otherwise deemed by Sponsors, in their sole discretion, to be inappropriate, obscene and/or not in keeping with Sponsors’ image will be disqualified and will not be eligible for the Contest.
Submission may not contain, as determined by the Sponsors, in their sole discretion, any content that:
• Is sexually explicit, obscene or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; or contains nudity;
• Promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message;
• Is a duplicate (identical) Entry;
• Defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies or Sponsors, their products or services;
• Contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress (including, but not limited to, distinctive packaging or building exteriors/interiors) owned by others, without permission to the extent permission is necessary;
• Contains personal identification not related to the individual and not pertinent to the Submission;
• Contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including music, photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media), without permission to the extent permission is necessary.
• Contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, or other indicia identifying any person, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead, without permission to the extent permission is necessary;
• Communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will with which Sponsors wishes to associate; and/or
• Violates any law, regulation or YouTube/Google policy.
By making a Submission to this Contest, Entrant acknowledges that Sponsors do not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to Sponsors, or developed by its employees, or obtained from sources other than entrant. Entrant agrees that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Submissions by third parties. Released Parties do not guarantee the entry of any Submission and may remove any Submission from the contest for any reason at any time. An Entrant agrees that he/she will not use the Submission for any other purpose, including, without limitation, posting the Submission to any other online social networks, without the express consent of Sponsors in each instance during the contest period.
The Contest Period will be posted on the Web site where the public can vote for each Submission. The 10 video submissions with the most votes will move onto the final round of judging. A Submission is not a winner until Sponsors declare a Submission the winner. In the event of a tie, each tying Submission will be judged by a panel of qualified judges using the Judging Criteria (as defined below), and the Submission with the highest overall score from among those tied, as determined by Sponsor, will be deemed the potential First Prize winner. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsors in its sole discretion. Use of script, macro or any automated system to cast a vote or with the intent to impair the integrity of the voting process is prohibited and all such votes (both thumbs up and thumbs down votes) will be void. The odds of winning the First Prize depend on the popularity of an entrant’s Submission compared to other Submissions received during the Contest Period, as determined by the number of thumbs up votes received for the first round of judging.
Judging and Prizing
Sponsors reserve the right to not award all prizes for any prize level if, in their sole discretion, they do not receive a sufficient number of eligible and/or qualified Submissions for a prize level in a particular Entry Period or otherwise. All prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules. The decisions of the Sponsors and judges are final and binding in all matters.
The first round of judging will be crowd sourced, using the thumbs down and thumbs up voting overlay. On the close date, the top 10 submissions with the most votes will go onto the second round of judging. The second round will be comprised of Sponsor representatives in conjunction with a select group of The AD Club’s Board of Directors and will be based on the following judging criteria and percentages: (a) fit to the Contest theme (35%); (b) uniqueness (35%); and (c) passion in communication of the dream (30%) (“Judging Criteria”). The Submission with the highest score for each Entry Period, as determined by the judging panel based on the Judging criteria, will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, subject to compliance with these Official Rules.
The odds of winning a First Prize depend on the number of Submissions received in the given Entry Period.
First Prize Winner Notification
Potential First Prize winners will be notified by mail and required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and Publicity Release (where legal) within 48 hours of date of notification. Non-compliance with this requirement, if prize/prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, if a potential winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period and/or if a potential winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors’ discretion, may be awarded to a runner-up, time permitting.
There is one First Prize in the amount of $5,000. The First Prize is available to be won by eligible entrants as stated above. The First Prize winner will have the opportunity to have lunch with a senior level Google executive.
All Entrants are responsible for his/her transportation for the award show/event. Winners understand that Sponsors have the right to reproduce, distribute, perform, create derivative works of, edit, alter, display, exhibit, combine with other materials, exploit and otherwise use the video submissions and/or all elements embodied therein, in any manner and in any and all media now known or hereafter devised throughout the Universe for any purpose whatsoever, including, without limitation, for commercial purposes, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, winners or any third party – based on the license granted not based on ownership. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize.
Submissions, entries or votes generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means, which subvert the entry or voting process will be void. Sponsors, YouTube, and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, Contest or production agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, mutilated or misdirected Submissions or entries or votes, or for Submissions or entries or votes not received by the applicable deadline, or for electronic, network or computer failures or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit Your ability to participate in this Contest, or other hardware, software or technical errors of any kind including any injury or damage to any person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest or for other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of entries or Submissions, the judging of Submissions, the tabulation of votes, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Contest-related materials. Released Parties assume no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user’s Internet service provider and/or insufficient space in user’s e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify the Contest (or any portion thereof) at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Contest or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security.
If the Contest (or any portion thereof) is so cancelled, judging for the Entry Period(s) at issue will be conducted from among all non-suspect, eligible Submissions received for such Entry Period(s) prior to the time of termination. In the event a dispute arises regarding a specific individual entitled to receive a prize, the entry will be declared made by the “authorized e-mail account holder” and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. Any damage made to the Website as a result of the Submission will also be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized e-mail account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. You may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the entrant is the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address associated with the account/submission. Proof of uploading Submissions will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsors. Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to prohibit the participation of an individual (and void all associated Submissions and votes) if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’/LEGAL FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. By participating, in this Contest, You hereby waive and release, and agree to hold harmless the Released Parties from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death, and/or property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize (or any travel or activity-related thereto), or their participation in this Contest, or any prize-related activity, or the rights granted herein.
By participating in this Contest, You agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors and judges, which are final and binding in all matters.
