VP Global Brand Strategy, Mondelēz International
Eliza Esquivel, VP Global Brand Strategy at Mondelēz International, is responsible for nurturing the $36 billion start-ups’ portfolio of high growth global brands (eg Oreo and Cadbury among others). She leads an international team of strategists who provide brand strategy and creative development support to Mondelēz brands as well as thought leadership to the global organization. Eliza is a progressive thinker with a balance of classical planning, creative and integrated strategic skills accumulated across a range of global brands including Coke, Nike, McDonald’s, Philips, Accenture and Skittles.
Prior to joining Mondelēz International, Eliza was Head of Planning at TBWA/CHIAT/DAY NEW YORK, where she led the planning and digital strategy department. Since 2012 Eliza has been a TED Ads’ Worth Spreading judge. In 2012 and 2013 she generated annual social media conversations with industry leaders around brand bravery.
Eliza’s career also includes posts as Planning Director at W+K Amsterdam as well as planning positions at JWT New York and DDB. She holds an MA in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin.
