Vice President, North American Field Sales, Yahoo!
Mark Ellis is Yahoo!’s Vice President of North American Field Sales. He leads Yahoo!’s display and search sales efforts, with a particular focus on growing revenue and share from the largest companies (i.e. Fortune 500) across North America. In this role, Mark and his team are focused on creating and delivering best-in-class digital marketing solutions for clients and agency partners.
Mark combines a unique blend of media sales, publishing and agency experience. He came to Yahoo! from AOL, where he was Executive Vice President of North American Sales and oversaw national sales, mid market sales, account management, strategy and sales operations. Prior to that, Mark led corporate and digital sales for sports marketing firm IMG, and also served as VP Sales for internet startup Quokka Sports. Prior to that he spent several years at Time Inc., where he held a variety of executive positions, including Publisher of New Media and Publishing Director for Sports Illustrated.
Mark serves on the IAB’s Media Measurement Advisory board, advises digital startups that are part of the Detroit Venture Partnership and was co-founder and treasurer of 313 Digital, an organization championing the development of digital marketing in the Metro Detroit area. He is a former board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the Adcraft Club of Detroit, and a former member of the AAF Hall of Achievement judging panel. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Detroit Mercy, College of Business Administration.
Based in New York, NY, Mark hails from Detroit, MI and has a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the University of Detroit. He is the father of three, an avid golfer, basketball player, runner, and reader when he can find the time.
