Understanding the 360-Modern Driver

It was a lively conversation on April 17th at the 18th installment of the Club’s popular Vertical Series: Automotive breakfast. For the first time, The AD Club of NY joined Media Post’s Automotive Conference at The New York International Auto Show!

Our panel of industry professionals discussed how they understood the 360-Modern Driver.

Anthony Winters, Sr. Director Field Sales, Autos, Verizon Media

Anthony is a Senior Director of Sales at Verizon Media.  In this position, he has responsibility for the domestic and several European OEMs.  Previous to joining Verizon Media, Anthony was a Senior Vice President on the Dodge Brand at BBDO.  His prior experience includes various account management positions working on advertising, licensing, international, CRM and event marketing on the Chrysler, Jeep, RAM and Dodge, Detroit Red Wings and Harley Davidson brands.  He also worked at the American Association of Advertising Agencies in Washington, D.C. in Government Relations.   Anthony also serves as the President of the Adcraft Board of Directors (Detroit’s Advertising Association).  Anthony is a graduate of Oakland University’s school of communications and holds an MBA from Wayne State University.  Anthony is married with three children and currently resides in the Detroit area and in his free time thinks about golfing while he drives his children to their various sporting events.

Juan Gabarro, Director of Product Marketing, Zipcar

Juan Gabarro is the director of product marketing for Zipcar, the world’s leading car-sharing network. Juan brings Zipcar’s products to market by developing and growing solutions for our members, businesses, universities and like-minded mobility partners. For nearly two decades, Juan has driven growth and innovation for a wide range of companies, including in B2B technology and services. Juan holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Victoria Gagliardi, Manager, Brand Partnerships and Experiences, Cadillac

Victoria Gagliardi is the Manager of Brand Partnerships and Experiences for Cadillac. With nearly a decade of automotive marketing experience, Victoria in her current role is principally focused on transforming consumer opinion, consideration, and developing unique experiences for the iconic, 117-year old, American brand. With an aptitude in Experiential Marketing, Victoria works to develop new relationships through lasting partnerships and memorable experiences for customers in an ever-expanding marketplace. Formerly in her work with Volkswagen of America, as Media Relations Specialist, she developed messaging and executed media programs on a national level. Victoria holds a B.A. from The Catholic University of America.

Christopher Jeyes, Senior Specialist, Media Buying & Strategy, Jaguar Land Rover

With nearly a decade of automotive marketing experience, Victoria in her current role is principally focused on transforming consumer opinion, consideration, and developing unique experiences for the iconic, 117-year old, American brand. With an aptitude in Experiential Marketing, Victoria works to develop new relationships through lasting partnerships and memorable experiences for customers in an ever-expanding marketplace. Formerly in her work with Volkswagen of America, as Media Relations Specialist, she developed messaging and executed media programs on a national level. Victoria holds a B.A. from The Catholic University of America.

 

Tom Peyton, AVP Marketing Operations, Honda and Acura

Thomas J. Peyton is the Assistant Vice President of Marketing Operations for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. His responsibilities include overseeing marketing and media operations for the Honda and Acura Brands. Peyton joined American Honda in 2001 as the Senior Manager of Marketing, where he directed incentives, sales promotion, sales training, and regional marketing programs for the Acura and Honda Brands. Later, he served as Senior Manager of Honda Advertising directing Honda Brand advertising and marketing, which included creative strategy, media, digital, social and event marketing. Prior to joining American Honda, Peyton spent fourteen years with DaimlerChrysler and the Chrysler Group where he held several senior sales and marketing positions, including executive roles in Product Planning, Jeep Advertising, Media, Incentives and establishing the Interactive and E-commerce disciplines. Peyton has an M.B.A. and B.S. in Marketing from the University of Southern California. He also completed an Executive Education curriculum at Stanford University. Honors he has received include being named to the Ad Age Marketing 50, Billboard’s Branding Power Players, Forbes 50 Most Influential CMOs and Hot Topic’s 100 Most Innovative CMO’s in the World.
