Hispanic Heritage Month | Innovator: Rene Ramirez

Rene launched his advertising career at McClain Finlon in Denver and never looked back. A multi‑disciplined artist who came to New York to chase an acting dream, he found his stage at McCann, TBWA, The Martin Agency, and Droga5. He rose from traffic through project management into creative operations, ultimately serving as Director of Creative Talent at Droga5.

During that run, Droga5 was named Agency of the Decade (2010-2019), Creativity’s Agency of the Year (2019), and Ad Age’s Agency of the Year (2021). A builder of teams, systems, and culture, Rene co‑founded Droga5’s Latine affinity group “Somos,” creating community to celebrate identity, amplify voices, and open doors.

In 2024, he became Head of Creative Talent & Culture at Adam&EveDDB, partnering with CCO, Brynna Aylward, and the crew to elevate talent, culture, and excellence.

As a recruiter and leader, he champions DEI-expanding pipelines, embedding equitable processes, and mentoring emerging creatives. Together, they’re building an ambitious, conceptually savvy outfit, delivering dynamic work that moves people and business. He leads with empathy and rigor-proud of the teams he’s built and the careers he’s shaped. His focus is to position the next generation with opportunities to grow & lead across the industry and abroad.
