Michelle Holmes, a Global Business Lead at Mediacom, is an experienced advertising and marketing professional with deep expertise in digital, media, CRM and data-driven omni-channel strategy. She manages a portfolio of global accounts and is the chair of the global belonging council.
Michelle started her career path on the client side at fortune 50 companies such as Allstate Insurance Company and Walgreens, eventually leading to high level consulting and agency roles. As a young professional, she thrived in digital leading to her first major leadership role at Walgreens developing and driving digital as a capability. There she managed several teams and was instrumental in helping Walgreens generate its first $1B revenue online.
With her vast digital and leadership experience, Michelle looked to expand her knowledge beyond marketing. This led to her transitioning from client-side, to consulting at Accenture where she simultaneously obtained her MBA from Emory University.
Prior to joining Mediacom, Michelle held several leadership roles at Merkle Inc. working with clients such as Walt Disney World, Marriott, Royal Caribbean, USAA, Samsung and DirectTV. Before joining Essencemediacom, Michelle served as the VP of Digital, Media and Customer Acquisition at Choice Hotels International, a board-mandated role charged with establishing a digital center of excellence. Under her leadership, the COE was established, Choice Hotels hit record revenue targets and laid the groundwork to begin people-based marketing.
In 2021, Michelle was named a media Allstar by Adweek and is a member of the Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA) Michelle is an avid reader and traveler. She is passionate about causes aimed at preserving her homeland as a safe haven where people with diverse religious backgrounds can learn, explore and appreciate its vast historical and archeological wonders. She is equally passionate about causes aimed at eradicating racism, gender discrimination and child hunger.
