Carlos Zepeda
SVP Strategy and Marketing, Wine and Spirits, Moët Hennessy USA
Carlos Zepeda serves as SVP, Strategy and Marketing for Wine and Spirits at Moët Hennessy USA. He leads the transversal strategy and marketing capability, steering brand and business management for a portfolio that includes Glenmorangie, Ardbeg, Sir Davis, Woodinville, Belvedere, Chateau D’Esclans, Minuty, Cloudy Bay, and Terrazas. He is also responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team that serves as a strategic partner to the organization, driving growth and enabling brand experiences that increase brand desirability.
He joined Moët Hennessy as VP for Belvedere Vodka in 2014, leading the US business and marketing agenda. Subsequently, he held strategy and transformation roles, focusing on developing and embedding the 2030 Strategy for the US market, installing new strategic processes to drive growth across brands and focusing on critical capabilities in service of the strategy. Prior to Moët Hennessy, Carlos was VP of Marketing for Havaianas, where he led the expansion of this iconic Brazilian brand in the US.
Previously, he held marketing roles at PepsiCo for 10 years, leading marketing efforts for Diet Pepsi, Starbucks Frappuccino Ready-to-Drink, and customer marketing for the Foodservice division. He also served as chair of Adelante, PepsiCo's LatinX ERG in the US.
Earlier in his career, Carlos held consulting positions at Ernst & Young's Customer Connections practice and at Peppers and Rogers Group, both in NYC, supporting clients across diverse industries.
Carlos is passionate about talent development. His leadership is anchored on fostering environments that encourage growth and collaboration. He has served as a mentor to professionals and students across the marketing community, including MADE at the ANA Educational Foundation.
Carlos holds a B.A. in Marketing from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), a M.S. in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University, and has completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School. He has spoken at universities and industry forums including CMO Club, Brand Innovators, Bloomberg, Northwestern, Thunderbird, NYU, and Royal Roads University. In 2024, he was inducted into Medill's Hall of Achievement at Northwestern University.
