14th Annual AD Future's High School Competition
The ADVERTISING Club of New York held their 14th Annual Advertising Futures Competition on September, 28, 2017 at the School of Visual Art’s, state of the art, SVA Theatre located at 333 West 23rd Street, New York, NY.
Once again we were extremely impressed by the level of creativity, strategy and innovation that each team brought to the stage.
Pairing up ad agency mentors: Saatchi, RGA, Giant Spoon, Publicis Groupe, Blkbox, MRM, Rauxa, Droga 5, Bullish, Big Buzz, JWT, MRM, SS+K, and 360i with teams from 14 NYC high schools; students were given three weeks to create an advertising campaign based on a creative brief developed again by the Ad Council. This year’s issue was teenage drinking and driving. Ideas included VR experiences, Geolocation games, and clever apparel with the message, “You are not virtual!”
The competition this year was judged by Dzu Bui, VP Account Director, The AD Council; Keisha Stephens-Gittens, Content Manager, LiveIntent; Alicia Ray, Product Marketing Manager, AT&T AdWorks; and a 4A’s Top 100 People Making Advertising Great, Jenny Nicholson, Group Creative Director, McKinney.
The results were amazing!
