The Advertising Club of New York's 'Conversations with Series' is coming to the Advertising Week Stage. This series provides an opportunity for our Young Professionals (30 and under) to interview top executives on their career journey while also discussing relevant cultural/industry moments, what is top of mind for executives and sharing career advice.
Future is Female
Thursday October 21st 1:00-1:30 p.m. (pre-recorded)
A rallying chant for women at all levels of professional and personal journeys, our track brings some of the most dynamic female leaders in the world to the stage. What still needs to change for equality to be possible? Have we achieved parity or has the pandemic put back female representation further? When will women be represented on more corporate boards? We look at everything from radical candor to what men can do to further the cause.
YP Moderator: Chelsea St. Clair
Chelsea St. Clair has spent the entirety of her career thus far pushing to be in strategic roles that work to flex her critical thinking and curious nature. After graduating from the University of Kentucky (and her third agency internship) Chelsea moved to Boston to start her career as a Brand Strategist at Arnold Worldwide. There she racked up a few regional awards for her work including first place in The Ad Club’s pitching competition, Brandathon, and first place in the New England region’s 4A’s Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies pitching competition.
At the same time, she was building a lifestyle and travel blog called “whyTFnots” to inspire the next generation of young women of color to travel. She pitched to local travel companies and won a contract to write and create social content for Student Universe during her travels and left Arnold for the opportunity.
Chelsea has recently accepted a role at hi5 agency as Senior Creative Strategist and now resides in LA.

Katie Perry is VP of Marketing for Public.com, the investing app on a mission to make the public markets work for all people. Prior to Public, Katie was VP of Corporate Strategy at Comscore (NASDAQ: SCOR) and spent two years as a strategic marketing and communications consultant for early-stage startups and media companies. Before that, she led brand and product marketing at Suzy (née Crowdtap) and was an early marketing hire at 360i at a time when the digital agency was named one of the Most Innovative Companies in the World by Fast Company.

YP Moderator: Lisa Remy, YieldMo
As Director of Buyer Development, Lisa is responsible for establishing and implementing Yieldmo’s offering to buyers across its platform. Prior to her role in Buyer Development, Lisa ran Sales Enablement at Yieldmo, where she worked closely with sales leadership, client success, product, and marketing to ensure Yieldmo’s sales organization functioned effectively and efficiently. Having been at Yieldmo for five and a half years, Lisa has also held positions in sales, account management, and ad operations. She began her career working at Orion Trading Worldwide, an agency under the IPG holding company. Lisa is based in Brooklyn, NY. She has a journalism/public relations degree from Western Washington University.

John, or JD, has 22 years of experience building creative strategic solutions that shape brands through insights, analytics and digital technology. Several key roles at the Havas Specialist Agency Socialistic, and Global Director at Omnicom Media Group, helping shape the business units now known as Annalect and Accuen. Currently JD is CEO of WLxJS which is an award-winning consultancy that services global brands such as Coca-Cola, Hersheys, Meta, Linksys & Diageo.

YP Moderator: Anita Sheares
Anita Sheares is currently the Senior Manager of Performance & Content Marketing at Marvel Entertainment. She is responsible for driving growth for Marvel Unlimited, an award-winning digital comics subscription service providing instant access to over 29,000 Marvel digital comics.
She began her career at Ralph Lauren overseeing marketing and events for the North American Wholesale business. Most notably, she managed brand activations and the wholesale online strategy featuring ambassadors Ruby Rose, Cody Simpson, Tinashe, & Bella Hadid to drive brand relevance and sales.
At S'well, one of the fastest-growing female-founded companies in the U.S, Anita was responsible for the strategy & execution of S’well’s brand positioning, advertising, digital marketing and messaging to consumers. She established S’well’s consumer personas defining the company’s sales and marketing approach. In 2019, S’well’s digital marketing team was awarded an eTail award for the best influencer strategy for the Lilly Pulitzer x S’well collaboration launch. Anita oversaw the digital implementation for S'well's entrance into the food category with S'well Eats and S'nack by S'well (Sept 2019), the company’s largest global brand campaign ‘More Ways to Use Less’ (Jan 2020) and S'well's first Connected TV commercial (Sept 2020).
Outside of her 9 to 5, Anita is passionate about non-profits. She is the Vice President of the Young Professional Committee for the Advertising Club of New York and a member of the New York National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NY-NAASC).
Speaker: Ajaa Long
Ajaa Long is a Marketing Executive with 15+ years of experience working at the largest global Beauty companies. She is currently Head of Global Beauty and Luxury at Meta where she leads these verticals for all Meta platforms including Instagram and leads the teams that manage Meta's largest Beauty and Luxury partnerships. Prior to Meta, Ajaa was at The Estee Lauder Companies where she led global and regional teams that developed new product innovation, marketing campaigns and go-to market strategies. Her last role at ELC was Vice President Marketing for the Estee Lauder brand and AERIN Beauty leading Brand Marketing, Digital & Media, Merchandising and Creative in North America. Ajaa began her career at L’Oréal in a corporate Sales executive management accelerator. She has been featured in
Essence Magazine as a Black Beauty Executive shaping the industry, she is a board member of the National Mother’s Day Council which supports Save the Children and a member of CEW. Ajaa holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Spelman College. She resides in
Montclair, NJ with her husband Sean and 3 children – Giselle, Sienna and Sean “Leo” Jr.
