The visionary behind her brand, Black Girl Digital and new platform, iLINKR, LaToya Shambo is on a mission to be a solution to equity wage disparities for Black and Multicultural women in the influencer marketing industry. With over 13 years in advertising, LaToya Shambo is a media broker and digital marketing authority responsible for leading hundreds of social media deals between Black female influencers and major brands.

Before launching Black Girl Digital, LaToya spent 7 years at Complex Media working in three different departments. On the Ad Operations team, she worked to train and develop the team. From there she moved into Marketing where she oversaw multi-million dollar brand partnerships for brands such as Pepsi, Nike, Mt. Dew, Bacardi, and Martell.

As a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, LaToya started her advertising career at Havas as a Local Media Buyer working with brands like McDonald’s, KMart, and Sears. Shortly after, she was called to work for Spike Lee at his agency Spike DDB.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Houston, TX,  LaToya Shambo,  launched BLACK GIRL DIGITAL, INC., a premium influencer marketing agency that specialize in the Black female audience five years ago.. BLACK GIRL DIGITAL, INC. has worked with VH1, BET, MTV, Brooklinen, Ritual Vitamins, The Doux, Andre Walker Hair Care, Hairfinity on projects gaining 100 million+ overall impressions. Despite COVID-19, Black Girl Digital launched, influencer LINKR (iLINKR),  a platform where they carefully vet all influencers and manage the campaign relationship between brands and Black female influencers.

LaToya currently lives in Queens with her 9 year old daughter and in her spare time she is a mentor at the Sparks Hope program where she mentors and empower entrepreneurs in Zambia.
