2020 took many unexpected turns. What started off as a bright year for the economy was soon derailed by a global pandemic and severe economic recession. This resulted in a halt in consumer spending. Whether it be traveling, dining, shopping, or seeing a movie, a lot of people stopped their regular activities as they found themselves saving for any uncertainties. As a result, consumers re-prioritized their spending habits. As we enter 2021, a sense of what people REALLY want has emerged. With seasonal trends normalizing and a pent-up demand for shopping increasing, economists predict that there will be a rise in purchasing of “big-ticket” items with brands that consumers trust and care about.
