Meet The Fellows: Elena Polson

Elena is a art director that has an extensive amount of experience creating 360 campaigns along with social media plans. Currently, she is at the agency gotham where she predominately works on Maybelline and new business.

While at gotham, she has created campaigns that have broken the mold within the beauty landscape. One of Elena’s best skill sets is combining her knowledge of cultures and history to her work to make them more memorable.

Being a strong art director, is about teamwork involving all members of the agency and understanding each roles strengths that they bring to the table which Elena makes a rule to never say “I” but “we” when she presents work, truly believing that everyone has a voice to bring to the table. Her first passion was photography where she received a A.A. at the Fashion Institute of technology. There she learned from her professors that she would be strong art director with her quick solutions to create strong imagery.

With her professors words in mind she transition to graphic design and received a B.A. at Pratt. She looks forward to expanding her career outside of beauty as her forteigh in the future. Believing that many other industries could learn a thing or too from the beauty space. In her spare time she can be found training her new puppy Pepita and taking her of her rabbit Tokki.
