Gary J. Nix is an award-winning, brand-forward strategist who earned his stripes as a disruptor, innovator, and predictor in the entertainment, magazine publishing, and advertising industries. While at R/GA, he was instrumental in the award-winning #PricelessNewYear campaign for MasterCard. Known for merging traditional marketing principles with modern marketing techniques in order to create, build, and evolve compelling brands, his distinct point-of-view in the space has positioned him as a frequently sought after source in Adweek, The Drum & Entrepreneur, an adjunct professor & guest lecturer, as well as a subject matter expert on ethics, culture, and community as a business necessity.
Now, Gary serves as Chair of the Advisory Council for Bold Culture, a communications agency whose aim is to help brands and ad agencies become more diverse, inclusive & culturally active through the implementation of data-driven, customized programs.
On Gary’s downtime he enjoys drinking a good dram of Scotch — neat or with one large ice cube, while watching Morbo the Annihilator on Futurama.
