Meet the Fellow — Mel-Lisa Saunders

Being a proud graduate of Baruch College in New York with multiple years of highly-dynamic experience in advertising, Mel-Lisa, a Jamaican born immigrant is emerging as a trailblazer in the industry. She’s worked with brands like HBO, Max, Warner Brothers Discovery, and Google in crafting impactful strategies that drive transformative growth. A master of blending data-driven insights with creative innovation, she’s led cross-functional teams on campaigns that have led to receiving various accolades including a nomination for the 2021 Webby awards, 2022 Digiday awards Finalist and Silver Medal winner for the 2023 Stevie Awards

Mel is a passionate advocate for innovation and collaboration, mentoring developing talent while championing the pivotal role of advertising in culture today. As a priority, she’s a highly engaged member of the Black Leadership Network at OMG. In her free time she loves to travel to diverse places such as Cuba, S. Korea and Nigeria, watch the latest foreign dramas as well as exercise her artistic chops through collaging, scrapbooking and charcoal sketching. 

She aims to work with her 2023-2024 fellows to redefine advertising’s future. A future where sisterhood and career are able to intersect in order to forge compelling narratives that leave an indelible mark in their industries.
