Meet The Fellows: Ashlea Ramirez

Mexican-American Tejana and proud chingona, Ashlea Ramirez has worked on bringing various campaigns from brief to reality as a project manager – gaining experience from Wieden+Kennedy, and prior to that DigitasLBi.
As a product of the Advertising Club of New York’s I’mPart Fellowship, 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Internship Program, and AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Students Award, she has a passion in developing and supporting programs that advocate for more diverse and inclusive creative industries – one that provides a platform for all to be their authentic selves and make amazing work together. She’s channeled this passion and in 2018 made the move from project management to diversity, working (and currently) at Droga5 as their Engagement & Inclusion Manager. There she leads Droga’s employee resource group and works to strategize and execute projects that promote a more diverse and inclusive culture.
In addition, Ashlea has also gone on to create her own D+I programming, co-founding Women Who Create, a non-profit that supports women of color in creative industries through mentorship, year-round events, and curated content.
In her spare time, Ashlea is often embracing her cultural roots. She is a taco connoisseur and a forever fan of la reina, Selena.
