Meet The Fellows: Danielle Hemsley

 

Danielle V Hemsley aka Danie, is a left & right brain thinker, motivated by a fascination with human behavior and a love of data that enables her to uncover human truth and ‘the why.’ Danie is passionate about Diversity & Inclusion and believes that marketing and media when used properly can have a positive impact on our world and culture while still driving business ROI.  Other passions include, farm fresh food, playing poker, and learning about culture via ethnographic observation. 

Danie is an Insights Director at Carat where they manage a team of 3 researchers and have experience working on brands such as Diageo, Mastercard, Pfizer Consumer Health, and United Airlines.  In the industry, they are a member of the ARF Cultural Effectiveness Council, Dentsu Center of Excellence’s Futures Council, She Run’s It Member Ambassador, and a graduate of the Dentsu Aegis Network Route 500 program for high potential employees.  

Prior to joining the marketing research field, Danie spent 5 years as a Case Manager for people living with HIV and AIDS in the Hudson Valley, it is during this time that Danie enhanced her knowledge of the difficulties around making behavior change as well as an awareness of how strong the human spirit truly can be.    

Danie holds a BA in Sociology and Gender Studies from SUNY New Paltz and an MS in Business Statistics from Baruch College Zicklin School of Business where she serves as mentor for the Baruch College Exectives on Campus program.
