Meet The Fellows: Guilene Grefin

 

Guilene (or G) is a Florida Orange born problem-solving, Media Planning Supervisor with experience developing full-funnel strategies focused on generating revenue. She’s managed the production of content partnerships that brings life to her clients’ ideas through various forms of content and creates media plans that span across global regions to establish one unified voice from her clients.

Through her experiences at Neo@Ogilvy, DigitasLBi, and now Essence Global, she’s become highly skilled in media strategy, client correspondence and analytical storytelling. G’s approach to media is not just to understand the ever-changing landscape of media, but to be one step ahead of how these can impact her clients for the better. She’s also passionate about the intersection of career development, building connections, and mentorship.

In order to get to where you’re going, you have to acknowledge where you’ve been.” G wants to encourage men and women who look like her that no matter what room they are or where they’ve come from, their voice is meant to be heard, and their dreams matter.

In and out of the office, you’ll find G in thrifted and patterned styles. Her motto: “Why wear solid colors when patterns tell a better story about my personality.”

With being rooted in her Haitian heritage along with her love of all things Afro-Caribbean, you can catch G on the center of the dance floor dancing away to Kompa, Reggae, and Afrobeats.
