Consumer behavior has changed drastically in 2020. This change in behavior has impacted many industries, including finance. A report by EY shared that 43% of people say the way they bank has changed due to COVID-19. The question is, how have they changed? And are these new behaviors permanent? A report shared by NPR also revealed that over half of all Americans have had their personal income impacted by the pandemic. So how has spending behaviors changed?
