AAPI Heritage Month | Icon: Yolanda Lam

Yolanda is a global advertising and sales executive with 25+ years of experience driving growth across agency, platform, and marketing technology ecosystems. She is GM, Global Head of Agency Development at Microsoft Advertising, leading a global team responsible for executive-level agency partnerships and helping holding companies become long-term Microsoft Advertising advocates. 

Yolanda partners with agency leaders to navigate industry transformation—unlocking the value of AI-powered advertising, data, and automation and aligning Microsoft’s solutions to partners’ commercial priorities and client growth strategies. She is known for aligning cross-functional teams, building durable executive relationships, and turning complex priorities into clear, scalable plans. 

Previously, Yolanda held senior leadership roles at Pinterest (global monetization and agency strategy) and Google (AdSense), as well as at global holding companies Publicis, IPG, and Omnicom. This breadth of experience across platforms, publishers, and agencies gives her an end-to-end view of how AI is reshaping marketing effectiveness, creativity, and business outcomes. 

A passionate advocate for the AAPI community and inclusive leadership, Yolanda supports pathways for underrepresented talent and amplifies emerging leaders (working with organizations like GoldHouse). She has also served on industry boards and committees including 212NYC and She Runs It, and has been recognized as Campaign US 40 Over 40, a She Runs It Working Mother of the Year, and at the 212NYC Gala for Resilience. 

Raised in Hong Kong and educated in the United States, Yolanda is bilingual and globally minded. She holds a B.A. in Marketing from Boston College and is based in New York City.
