Karan Dang is the Co-Founder and CEO of DANG, a consultancy dedicated to modernizing iconic global brands by forging authentic connections with the next generation of consumers. As a widely recognized creative leader, Karan was named Ad Age’s 40 Under 40 in 2021 and ranked #6 Creative Director in the world in the 2017 Cannes Lions Global Report. Before launching DANG, Karan raised the creative standard at Walmart as Head of Brand Creative, where he enhanced brand reputation and cultural relevance by championing diverse talent and delivering breakthrough creative platforms. His leadership resulted in campaigns, social initiatives, and experiential projects that resonated deeply with customers and fostered lasting connections.
Earlier in his career, Karan led creative at Yellow Shoes, the in-house creative department at Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products where his digital-first mindset and emotional intelligence helped shape integrated storytelling for beloved IPs such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. His innovative work supported ventures like Avatar’s Pandora, Toy Story Land, Avengers Campus, and the $2 Billion Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, while his dedication to gender equity transformed his team to over 50% female in less than 18 months.
