Black History Month | Rockstar: Sisilen Simo

Sisilen Simo is a Senior Strategist at McCann New York, where she turns cultural insights into human truths that shape brand storytelling. Her work spans global product launches, multicultural positioning, and ethnographic research for beauty and lifestyle brands—including strategy for two Super Bowl campaigns, where her cultural insights helped fuel high-impact, mass-culture moments and deeper connections with multicultural consumers.
Shaped by her perspective as a first-generation Cameroonian American, Sisilen is passionate about helping brands bridge representation gaps by building authentic, enduring platforms. At McCann she’s a member of the agency’s Cultural Resonance Committee, a cross-disciplinary group dedicated to ensuring the agency’s work is culturally sound and accurately representative. Additionally, she served as the co-lead of The Cookout, McCann’s Black ERG, where she focused on creating programming that aims to be reflective of the multifaceted Black experience and fosters community and belonging within the agency.
