Roberto led 305 Worldwide to becoming Best Small Agency of the Year, three times in a row (Muse). Under his leadership, the agency has also received numerous Platinum and Gold awards for client work and personally, in 2023, he was named to the prestigious Adweek 50 and Crain’s Notable Leaders in Advertising. Prior to 305 Worldwide, he spent over 20 years, working in Latin America, and the U.S. for top advertising agencies such as FCB, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Global, and IPG Mediabrands, with recognition including Clios, Addys and New York Festival, among others. In 2015, The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History added his work for The Ad Council to its permanent collection of Hispanic advertising.
For the past six years Roberto has also held a coveted juror seat for the Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, among several other Juror seats over his career. Roberto also serves as a Board Member for Corazon Latino, a national non-profit organization embracing the ONE Health approach by fostering synergy among diverse sectors to address the interconnected well-being of people, animals, plants, and the environment.
Beyond Advertising, he finds inspiration in all walks of culture: meandering the streets of Brooklyn, surfing in Puerto Rico, catching the latest inde film, or producing one himself. Most recently, he produced the romantic comedy “Looking For Maria Sanchez” (200 Cartas), starring Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film was featured in The New York Times as a unique case of brand integration in independent films.
