Icons & Rock Stars – Angela Walker Campbell!

For over 25 years, Angela has developed and driven organizational and creative excellence in advertising and marketing communications. She is a creative problem solver with proven results conceiving and executing successful brand initiatives for various advertising agencies (the UniWorld Group, McCann Erickson, Havas Worldwide, Spike DDB, Prime Access, and others) across a range of industries including pharmaceutical, financial services, beauty and personal care, consumer package goods, automotive, and non-profit organizations.

At UniWorld Group, an agency specializing in activating multicultural consumers, Angela developed a reputation as an architect of the big idea for such Fortune 100 accounts as Bank of America, AT&T, and Kraft Foods. For the Bank of America business, she developed a category disrupting campaign that produced significant shifts in brand and product consideration, and helped increase new accounts by 15%.

In 2004, Angela founded Target Smarts, a marketing communications resource group. She developed the campaign that reintroduced the iconic skin care brand Noxzema, receiving recognition in Brandweek. She was also instrumental in the 360º product launch of Unilever’s Vaseline Cocoa Butter which was hailed as one of the most successful launch campaigns in Unilever history and awarded the Unilever Gold Award for Brand Communication.

The owner and CEO of Prime Access, a health and wellness advertising agency, recruited Angela in 2009 to elevate overall quality and institute essential changes to agency infrastructure. There, she served as VP, Executive Creative Director for six years and led the creative development of all print, broadcast, digital and patient education initiatives for such clients as Novartis, Merck, Novo Nordisk, Quest Diagnostics, and Turing Pharmaceuticals.

Angela is a repeat presenter for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She has also served as a member of the Ad Council’s Campaign Review Committee, a panel of advertising executives who are responsible for maintaining the organization’s reputation for campaign excellence in their efforts on behalf of non-profit organizations and agencies of the United States government.

Angela is passionate about health equity and wellness for underserved communities and has founded the non-profit Sound Bodies for Life and its flagship program, the Food Discovery Fun Labs, an early childhood nutrition and fitness initiative.

Throughout her career, Angela has been recognized with various creative honors. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology.
