Meet the 2024 Fellows – Rasheeda Davis
Rasheeda Davis is a Media Planning Supervisor at EssenceMediacom, where she brings her expertise in advertising and media strategy to develop impactful campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. A graduate of S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Rasheeda has always been drawn to the advertising industry, fascinated by how advertising shapes consumer behavior and drives purchasing decisions.
At EssenceMediacom, Rasheeda focuses on creating direct response media strategies that amplify Google’s Workspace brand messages. She is particularly passionate about inclusivity and the power of diverse storytelling to foster deeper connections between brands and consumers. Through her work, Rasheeda advocates for diverse voices in the advertising space, helping to ensure that campaigns reflect the richness of different communities.
Beyond her professional expertise, Rasheeda is committed to fostering positive, compassionate work environments. She believes that leading with empathy and respect boosts team morale and encourages collaboration, resulting in more innovative and successful work. By creating a supportive atmosphere, she empowers those around her to bring their best selves to the table.
Rasheeda’s long-term goals extend beyond her media career. She is dedicated to giving back to her hometown of Miami, FL. She plans to use her skills and network within the media and advertising industries to establish a nonprofit organization that supports women and children in need. Helping others has always been a core value for Rasheeda, and she aspires to make a lasting, positive impact in her community.
Outside of work, Rasheeda enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys writing poetry, playing with her dog Tyler, and hanging out with friends—activities that inspire her creativity and provide balance in her busy life.
Rasheeda’s guiding philosophy is simple yet powerful: “Your mind is ultimately your greatest asset”’ (Robert Kiyosaki). She believes maintaining a positive mindset is crucial to success and will continue to drive her forward as she works toward her goals of innovation, empowerment, and meaningful change in the media and advertising industry.
