Meet the 2024 Fellows – Taylor Reeves
With a creative spark that lights up every room, Taylor Reeves navigates the advertising world with confidence, blending her passion for storytelling with a flair for strategic brilliance. Taylor, a Senior Copywriter at VaynerMedia, holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising Communications from St. John’s University. With a solid foundation forged at traditional firms, she began her career at esteemed agencies like TBWA\Chiat\Day, Ogilvy, and R/GA, where she strengthened her skills across mediums like radio, OOH, and CRM marketing. Transitioning to a social-first agency has been a refreshing change for Taylor, allowing her to showcase her talents in a dynamic setting that’s historically been untapped.
In her current role, she thrives as a first-time manager, utilizing her strong leadership skills to guide her team. Passionate about helping others advance in their careers, Taylor also seeks her own growth, focusing on self-development and learning to negotiate and brand herself effectively. Building and expanding her professional network is a priority, and she embraces the challenge of navigating an industry where “no day is the same, especially as a copywriter.”
Originally from Maryland, Taylor has made New York her home since college. Outside of her job at the agency, she indulges in her love for photography, even freelancing in the field. Her experiences traveling and studying abroad during her time at St. John’s University have profoundly influenced her writing, enriched her storytelling, and enabled her to incorporate diverse perspectives into her campaigns. She believes in creating work that is both open-minded and accessible to individuals from different cultures.
As a creative leader, Taylor enjoys overseeing campaigns grounded in culture. She envisions a future where she can take on the role of Chief Creative Officer or even build her own agency. With creativity and leadership as her guiding principles, Taylor is committed to crafting narratives that resonate with audiences, ensuring that her craft never stops evolving. Whether through words or images, she aims to inspire and connect with people around the world.
