What does success mean to you?
Success is being able to see the work you set out to do come to fruition—It’s feeling the impact, celebrating the journey, the lessons, failures and wins that come with pursuing anything. I believe success is more of a state than a milestone. It’s looking back at the previous hour, day or year and realizing that I’ve been able to do something that I had not done before and that I’ve grown as a person for having succeeded that goal.
What do you hope to gain from this fellowship?
I hope to gain a renewed sense of confidence in the path that I’m pursuing as a creative entrepreneur within this industry. After 5 years of ups and downs I started this fellowship at a time where I felt like I needed a lot more guidance and support. I’m looking forward to developing the kinds of relationships through this program that continue to support my growth as I move through the next phase in my career. I hope to gain community, network, and insight that help me approach this work from a stronger point of view and ultimately help me achieve my business goals. As with everything I do, I hope to learn more about myself along the way.
