Meet The Fellows: Tiara Budd Ramos

Community builder and inclusion advocate, Tiara Budd Ramos is working to make the corporate sector a more representative space. She is skilled at cultivating relationships and harnessing the power of connection to create access for people of color.

With magnetic authenticity and undeniable passion, Tiara is on her way to becoming a thought leader in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space. She has been called upon to share her insight with General Assembly, Yahoo!, BOLD TV, Black Enterprise, and Business Insider. She lives by the mantra Always follow your gut, which has guided her decision making throughout her career.

In her current role as Manager, Diversity & Inclusion for Talent & Culture in the Ad Sales department at NBCUniversal, Tiara facilitates the development and execution of programs and initiatives to grow the company’s diverse talent population. In addition, she is responsible for building relationships with HR partners and business leaders to create dialogue surrounding inclusion strategies.

Tiara began her career in public relations and content strategy, and her own frustrating experiences with a lack of representation led her to pivot toward the work of building more inclusive environments.

Tiara trusted her instincts and transitioned from the digital strategy world to diversity and inclusion, becoming Senior Talent and Partnerships Manager at Jopwell. At the career development platform she not only began advocating for underserved communities, by recruiting diverse candidates, Tiara also strengthened her expertise in community engagement. Whether on or off the clock, she is a connector who enjoys plugging individuals who may not have had access to one another otherwise.

Raised just outside of Philadelphia, Tiara is a proud graduate of Hampton University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Spanish. She sits on the board for the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), and is a member of premier industry organizations She Runs It and The Advertising Club of NY. A fearless advocate, she enjoys volunteering and has shared her time with Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York, Women Who Create, and Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls.
